As per previous reports, PUBG Mobile was expected to receive a new 0.14.5 update. Now, the developers have confirmed that the new update will be called 0.15.0 via a tweet from PUBG Mobile’s official Twitter handle. The tweet also revealed that the upcoming PUBG Mobile update will introduce a new arcade mode called Payload Mode. The tweet also gives an early preview of the Payload Mode with an image of a player firing an RPG at a helicopter. Along with these, the new update will also bring the Royale Pass Season 9.
Payload Mode
Based on the early preview image, the new Payload Mode will feature weapons like an RPG and a helicopter. The RPG looks quite similar to the RPG-7 launcher that was previously found in the Darkest Night Mode. And, the new RPG may also come with enemy locking ability similar to a homing missile launcher and have pre-installed 4X Scope just like the VSS gun.
The new game mode was previously spotted in a Chinese beta. According to earlier reports, the new arcade mode will allow players to use helicopters for finding underground loot crates. The underground crates could be highlighted with a huge halo above them and these crates will rise up to the ground level when players meet certain conditions. The loot crates may contain advanced weapons like RPG and other items.
The helicopters are expected to come with control mechanics that are similar to other vehicles and use fuel to power up. But, these helicopters may be quite vulnerable to damage and players could be able to take them down with new weapons like RPG.
Along with the Payload Mode, the new 0.15.0 update is also expected to introduce a Survival mode, where players will need to hunt and build fires in the snow-capped landscape of Vikendi to survive.
Royale Pass Season 9
The Royale Pass Season 9 will begin on September 13 and it is expected to bring new skins and sets like the Observer Set, the Observer Cover, Infected Grizzly M249, Infected Grizzly Dacia, and Draconian Champion set.
Along with these, the new PUBG Mobile 0.15.0 update will come with a host of bug fixes and gameplay improvements.
